I share the EXACT same feelings as you do about this once WONDERFUL industry! I made a decent (livable) wage, felt like I was helping people, and felt somewhat appreciated. I went to work for Nuance 2 years ago and now all of a sudden I'm not good enough even though I have done MT since about 1988 (3 years in an orthopedic clinic and almost 20 years at the local hospital, and the last 5 years with various MTSOs, currently Nuance). Nuance really IS as bad as everybody says it is! I get emails every week saying how great my accuracy is and commenting on how few I have to send in to be reviewed (you have to send for review if you leave too many blanks and cannot send more than 5% of your total LINES typed or you get your pay docked, which I think is just CRAZY!). I have committed the "sin" of not meeting productivity requirements too many times and am now on my "final warning". In other words if my productivity either does not improve by June 1, 2017 OR if it slips down even a little bit below requirements (they WILL NOT budge on that) within the next 6 months I am automatically terminated. I have told my supervisor that I feel like I am going to get in trouble no matter what I do. One week I'm making too many mistakes, so I slow down a little. That makes the mistakes go down but then I'm not productive enough. So tired of it! I hope things are going well with you!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10643630249239608925noreply@blogger.com
